What I look at
THE PAGE THE WAY IT ARRIVES.
Google's speed score imitates a cheap phone on a slow connection from years back, so a site that flies on a real phone can still score low. This check doesn't grade. It measures the page the way it actually shows up: how fast the server answers, how much a phone has to pull down on LTE, and whether a customer can call you in one tap.
It reads the homepage only, and it reads it like a visitor, not like a login. If it can't reach a site, that's a finding too.

- Whether the page is sent compressed

- Business details marked up for the map result
- A contact form for people who'd rather type
- Enough words to explain the work
